01Who does Lolita’s Helping Hands serve?

We serve eligible individuals with developmental disabilities enrolled in Florida’s APD iBudget Waiver within our approved service areas.

02Are all services on this website part of the APD iBudget Waiver?

No. APD Waiver information applies only to services identified as APD Waiver services. Skilled Nursing, Private Duty Nursing, and Skilled Respite are listed separately. Contact us to discuss availability, eligibility requirements, and payment options.

03Does APD automatically approve every APD Waiver service?

No. APD Waiver services must be appropriate for the individual, included in the support plan, and authorized through the APD iBudget Waiver.

04What ages do you serve?

Age requirements depend on the service. Personal Supports and Life Skills Development Level 1 are for adults age 21 and older. Respite Care is generally provided to eligible individuals under age 21. Nursing-service eligibility is based on the individual’s care needs, required clinical orders, and service availability.

05Can family members request services directly?

Families may contact us for information, but APD Waiver services must be coordinated and authorized through the individual’s Waiver Support Coordinator and support plan.

06Can Waiver Support Coordinators send referrals?

Yes. We welcome referrals and inquiries from Waiver Support Coordinators, individuals, families, and authorized representatives.

07Are nursing services available without a physician’s order?

Skilled Nursing and Private Duty Nursing may require a physician’s prescription or other clinical documentation. Availability, eligibility requirements, and payment arrangements are confirmed before services begin.

08Is transportation included?

Transportation should not be advertised as a separate service unless Lolita’s Helping Hands is specifically approved to provide APD Transportation Services. Community access may be incorporated into certain authorized services when permitted by the support plan.
